Collection: AW21 READY TO WEAR

The collection is a memorial to an archetypical immigrant story with a lust for a brighter future. Yueqi further develops her beading technique as a medium to find beauty in a culture, mundane to those who have been desensitized to it, and exotic to an outsider. She remembers being driven to the airport in Ottawa as her young niece clutched a teddy bear. Yueqi held onto these stories in the same way, only to undergo further mutation as they are retold.
